Description

The D5300 is an update to the D5200 and is Nikon's mid entry-level DSLR. It was introduced on October 17th, 2013. It uses a 24.1 megapixel DX sensor and does not use a optical low pass filter. It lacks an autofocus motor, so AF-S lenses (lenses with a built in autofocus motor, known as "SWM") must be used for autofocus mode. All other modern Nikon lenses can be used with manual focus. It has a built in flash along with a standard hot shoe mount. It features a tilt and swivel LCD. It also has a built-in GPS module. It features 720p60 and 1080p60 video recording modes with mono sound recording. It also features automatic correction of lateral chromatic aberration along with a built-in HDR capability.
